GO Wind Reflects on Another Successful Year

As we embark on 2023, we would like to reflect on our key highlights of 2022.

GO Wind has become one of the UK’s leading providers of wind turbine installation and maintenance solutions, working with many of the world’s leading OEM companies. We have built ourselves a foundation of quality service delivery and take pride in our ability to deliver full turnkey solutions.

In the past year, we have:

· Expanded into Europe – working on installation projects in Holland and Germany

· Established a multi-works agreement with industry giant Enercon

· Expanded our networks through joining NOF – as part of our mission to continue our expansion.

Furthermore, we were recently asked to comment on the onshore wind industry for Re-News, strengthening our position as an industry leader and commentator on the sector.

We look back at 2022 with pride and look forward to the opportunities 2023 will bring to GO Wind.

Ambitious work programme in Larne, Ireland

We are excited to announce that in the coming weeks we will be kick starting an ambitious work programme for Enercon focused in Larne, Ireland and which will see us install seven turbines across a bold work schedule.

As part of the programme, we will be doubling the number of engineers working for the Go Wind business – which forms part of our strategic growth plans – and will be deploying two cranes on the job, a rare occurrence and impressive industry sight.

This installation is the culmination of many months of work for our business and is the start of an extensive programme of installations which will see us installing multiple turbines not just for Enercon but also for many of the other major players in the industry.

We are very excited to be working on the Enercon programme of work and to visually sharing our installation and crane lifts with you over the coming weeks.

Expansion into Europe

We are delighted to announce that this month we have successfully expanded our operations into Europe, embedding own installation team in Germany and successfully completes two turbine installations for one of the world’s leading wind energy companies, Enercon.

Located in Großenwiehe, North Germany, the installation of the two turbines – both Enercon E-115 EP3 models – is our second successful Enercon installation and sees us successfully operating two dedicated Enercon installation teams in both the UK and Germany.

This installation forms part of our multi agreement programme with Enercon that will see us installing wind turbines, not only across the UK and Germany, but also across many other parts of Europe

The next phase of the Enercon programme will see us kick start work in Ireland on an ambitious schedule focusing on the installation of seven wind turbines across Larne.

The announcement of our expansion into Europe comes quickly on the back of, last month, us announcing we had completed the first installation of its kind in the UK with the successful install of two Enercon E-138 EP3 wind turbine models in North Lanarkshire.

First onshore wind turbine installation completed

We are delighted to announce that GO Wind has successfully completed the company’s first onshore wind turbine installations located in North Lanarkshire for one of the world’s leading wind energy companies, Enercon.

The installation of the turbines –both Enercon E-138 EP3 models – is the first of its kind in the UK and, for the GO Wind business, is the start of a multi agreement work programme with the energy giant that will roll out across the UK and beyond.

This installation is the culmination of many months of work for the GO Wind business and is the start of an extensive programme of installations which will see us installing multiple turbines not just for Enercon but also for many of the other major players in the industry.

The GO Wind business is very much looking forward to the delivery of this extensive work programme, the recruiting of a large number of skilled people from across the North East region and to the imminent growth of our business.
